High-Precision CNC Machining (Precision Machining)
Our machine park consists of multi-axis CNC turning and machining centers that reduce human error and offer micron-level repeatability.
Micron-Level Tolerances: On critical parts (pistons, side bolts, liners) we work to a high precision that is aligned with OEM specifications.
Complex Geometry Management: With a technical setup that can machine even the intricate internal parts of rock drills (drifters) in a single clamping, we keep axial deviation to a minimum.
Controlled Heat-Treatment Solutions (Advanced Heat Treatment)
The most critical stage in determining a part's service life is heat treatment, where the character of the metal is set.
Surface Hardness and Core Toughness: With the dedicated heat-treatment cycles applied in-house at Akkom, we bring a part's outer surface to a high hardness against wear while keeping its core tough and resilient against impact.
Atmosphere-Controlled Furnaces: In our furnaces, which prevent oxidation and provide uniform hardness distribution, we apply a specific "recipe" to each group of parts.
Precision Grinding and Friction Management (Precision Grinding)
For parts that operate at high speed and pressure, surface smoothness is vital.
Super-Finish Surfaces: In our grinding department we reach a mirror-quality surface finish (Ra values) that minimizes the friction coefficient of parts and prevents overheating and premature wear.
